Mindy Willis, Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher, founder of The Mindful Body est. 2004, Lululemon Ambassador
Mindy is a student and teacher of yoga. Born and raised in Thunder Bay Ontario she stumbled onto the yoga path almost 7 years ago in London, Ontario and has never looked back. Her first yoga teacher training was at The Forest Academy of Mind-Body Medicine, where she completed a 200 hour teacher training course, from that humble beginning and countless hours of other formal training and self-study, it has lead her to the amazing path of Anusara Yoga and the world’s best teachers. Mindy has found yoga and Ayurveda to help her overcome many obstacles and has transformed her life in many profound ways.
Currently Mindy is pursuing Anusara yoga training and was recently certified as an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Teacher. This process began in 2004 for Mindy with some workshops in the Anusara Style, then on to a 108 Anusara Immersion with Todd Norian and Ann Green. Aspiring to become a fully certified Anusara Yoga Teacher she plans to complete this in the next few years of her adventure. Mindy became a sponsored yogini by prAna and proudly carries their products, including the world’s most eco-friendly yoga mats, in her studio. Mindy is studying on-line Ayurveda courses from India, teaches workshops and does personal assessments.
Mindy’s studio is open to all levels of practitioners and encourages kula (community of the heart) by which students feel connected to this spiritual path to themselves, other students and the community at large. It is our hope to spread the knowledge of yoga and Ayurveda to the community and to encourage all students to aspire to their highest potential.
For the second year in a row, Mindy is proud to be a Lululemon Ambassador for London, Ontario. At the request of the amazing staff at Masonville’s store she will be an Ambassador for 2010! You can pick up information for The Mindful Body at their location.
